Nationality and identity: Applicants must be foreign citizens, physically and mentally healthy, friendly to China, and hold a high school diploma
Age requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old before September 1, 2025. Applicants under 18 years old must provide a guardian guarantee letter
Education and academic certificate:
High School Graduation Certificate: Applicants need to provide a high school graduation certificate certified by relevant institutions
Academic performance: High school/university transcripts, national/regional graduation/admission exam certificates, and international standard test scores (such as SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, IB, etc.) are required
Language proficiency:
Chinese taught majors: Applicants must have HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) level 5 or above, and score over 60 points in each subject. If the HSK level is 4, but the Chinese proficiency can be improved to level 5 or above within the first year of Tsinghua University, it can also be considered. Applicants whose native language is Chinese or who can provide proof of Chinese teaching background can apply for HSK exam exemption
English taught majors: Applicants do not need to provide proof of Chinese proficiency, but must have a high level of English language proficiency. Non English speaking applicants are required to provide English proficiency test reports, such as TOEFL, IELTS, etc
Application process:
Online application: Applicants need to access the Tsinghua University International Student (Undergraduate) Application System, register an account, and fill in application information. The application information must be truthful and complete, otherwise it will affect the material review and comprehensive testing admission
Submit application materials: including passport, highest degree graduation certificate or pre graduation certificate, official transcript, HSK transcript (if applicable), personal resume, recommendation letter, English proficiency test report (if applicable), etc
Payment of application fee: Once the online application fee is successfully paid, no application information or materials can be modified. Applicants need to confirm again before payment that the application information and all uploaded materials are correct
Material review: Applications with correct and complete information will be evaluated by Tsinghua University
